DFW agenda week ahead: What to watch August 10-12, 2026

Collin County Commissioners Court is scheduled to consider the award of a full-body scanner system for the Adult Detention Facility. The Monday record is short but specific. People following county detention operations or public-safety procurement can use the RFP and agenda-item numbers to find the exact item. The special district finance recap also flags a Cobble Creek Public Improvement District petition, a call for a public hearing, and a related deposit and reimbursement agreement on the same Collin County agenda.

Frisco’s Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to consider four consent-agenda site plans covering 114.7 acres. The development approvals recap groups them as one pipeline because the projects appear at the same meeting but remain separate applications. Their placement on consent is a procedural signal, not an outcome.

Fort Worth City Council’s August 11 agenda lists three procurement threads. RFP 26-0165 concerns an economic-development strategic plan. A separate item is listed as an emergency procurement for summer meals under an award-of-contract consent heading. Another identifies a design procurement agreement with MM Bonds 836, LLC for the Estates at Eagle Mountain Lake gravity and force-main project. The procurement recap identifies three other Dallas authorization requests. A three-year auto-body and collision-repair service agreement names six vendors and an estimated total of $16,994,750. Two five-year fitness arrangements total an estimated $2,750,071.90. A five-year Dallas Water Utilities janitorial package names three vendors and totals an estimated $4,480,202.33. The same Dallas agenda starts the next step in the fall special-district calendar. The special district finance recap identifies 15 public improvement districts with levy-assessment hearing authorizations listed on August 12 and hearings scheduled for August 25.
